I work on the bridges between words and images to create experiences and tell stories. I thrive on variety and what's new, often learning the ropes as I go. I've storyboarded yogurt commercials, designed Sasquatch-themed baseball caps, taught school kids how to draw condors, and I'm always looking to the next challenge.
At the University of Oregon, I was part of an interdisciplinary digital arts program and member of the Clark Honors College. The university experience allowed me to study abroad twice (Brighton, UK and Tübingen, Germany) and complete an undergraduate thesis: The Censorship of German Video Games.
I graduated in 2015 with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts - a five year program - in four years with a minor in Creative Writing. I was a freelance artist as a student in storyboard and illustration in addition to an internship at the Technological Assistance Institute for Intellectual Disability in Eugene, OR, creating and preparing graphics for interactive programs.
A bookworm all my life, I developed a passion for bookmaking while at school and worked on publications from copier zines to academic publication layouts. My BFA work illustrated friends' dreams in hand-inked comics, set in the foreground of a hypothetical conversation between dream psychology architects Jung and Freud. I completed a book of these comics while working as an intern at Baseballism, a sports lifestyle apparel brand, who hired me on full-time after graduation.
I am an active supporter of the Portland Timbers and Thorns as a member of the Timbers Army and Rose City Riveters supporter groups. I design fan choreography and merchandise on teams of fellow creative volunteers. The community around PTFC is a vital part of my life and my personal work as an artist.
